Terms and Conditions
QUOTES: We do not under any circumstances give verbal price quotes on any cakes. All price quotes are given via email. When asking for a quote you must provide an example of décor by email for us to keep on file.
DEPOSIT/CONFIRMATION: All orders must be paid in full at the time of ordering. A $100 non-refundable deposit can also be made at the time of ordering to secure a date, and the remaining balance can be paid off 10 days prior. Any order that is not paid in full in the allotted required time will be cancelled and no refunds will be given. All customers will receive a copy of their order form, and it is the customers responsibility to review the order form and correct us if any changes need to be made.
REMAINING BALANCE: The final due date for full payment or any changes to the cake is 10 days prior to the event. If payment in full is not received 10 days in advance of your event, your cake(s) will be considered cancelled and any payments made will NOT be refunded. There will not be any refunds within 10 days of your event for any reason.
CAKE TOPPERS: We do accept cake toppers. However, we reserve the right not to place them on the cake if we deem them too unstable.
CAKE STANDS: All rented equipment must be returned to The Little Things Bakery within five (5) days following the cake delivery date. Late or damaged pieces will result in charges for replacement. If you are providing your own stand it must be brought into the bakery at least 5 days prior to the event date. Bakery may refuse stand if deemed unstable or the wrong size.
CAKE CHANGES: Changes to your cake order, size, description, flavor, etc. will be accepted up to 10 days prior to the ready date. These changes may be subjected to additional charges. Any changes made within the 10 day period will not be accepted.
AI GENERATED CAKE DESIGN POLICY:
We are happy to use AI generated images as inspiration for your custom cake. While we will make every effort to recreate the design as closely as possible, AI generated images are artistic concepts and may include details, textures, colors, proportions, or structural elements that are not achievable with real edible materials.
Because every cake is handcrafted by our decorators, not digitally created, there may be slight variations from the reference image. Unlike computer generated artwork, handcrafted cakes reflect the skill, artistry, and natural characteristics of edible mediums such as buttercream, fondant, chocolate, and sugar decorations.
Our goal is to capture the overall style, theme, and visual impact of your inspiration while ensuring the finished cake is structurally sound, food safe, and of the highest quality. By placing an order based on an AI generated image, you acknowledge that the final cake will be a handcrafted interpretation rather than an exact replica.
PLACING ORDERS: Offical cake orders must have all details and full payment completed with a minimum of 48 business hours notice. If all details or payments have not been completed 48 business hours prior to the pick up time the order will be subject to cancellation. Tiered cakes require all details and payments to be made a minimum of 10 days prior to the pick up date, and are also subject to cancellation if not all the details and payments have been finalized within the aloted time.
DELIVERY: We are not responsible for any damage to your cake after the cake has been safely delivered and set up. Every effort will be made to deliver on time, however delivery of your cake may be delayed due to traffic, accidents, weather, acts of god, and other causes beyond our control.
SET-UP: We are not responsible for any damaged to your cake(s) after delivery and set-up is complete. The client is responsible for providing an appropriate size, level, and stable table with a cool and safe environment for the cake(s). We are not responsible for damage to cakes resulting from tables being too small, not level, weak, or placed in a warm area. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN UMBRELLA OR CANOPY FOR SHADE. Please keep in mind that there can be wind, rain, temperature, pets, bugs, or other situations, especially for outdoor deliveries that can harm or cause damage to your cake.
POST DELIVERY: We are not responsible for damage to your cake if someone at your reception site moves your cake after it has been safely delivered and set-up. We photograph all cakes upon completion of delivery.
FRESH FLOWERS: If fresh flowers are requested, you acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may be toxic, or contain toxins, pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants. The responsibility of the flowers safety, freshness, color, and safe food practice will rest with the florist and/or customer and not with The Little Things Bakery.
CAKE FLAVOR, FILLING, & ICING POLICY:
We strive to provide high quality cakes made with premium ingredients. Because taste is subjective, we are unable to offer refunds, credits, or replacements based on personal preference regarding the flavor, filling, or icing selected.
To help ensure you are happy with your choice, we strongly recommend sampling our products before placing your order. You may do so by scheduling a cake tasting for custom orders or by purchasing one of our cupcakes from our showcase to experience the quality and flavor of our cakes.
By placing your order, you acknowledge that the flavor, filling, and icing selections are your personal choices and that refunds will not be issued if those selections do not meet your individual taste preferences.
CUSTOMER SUPPLIED ITEMS: Fabric ribbon and any other accessories that The Little Things Bakery agrees to add to your cake must be brought into the bakery at least 1 week prior to your cakes ready date.
COLOR: All attempts will be carefully made to coordinate and/or match your colors. However, please be aware that food colors do not always perfectly match. Depending on mediums used, colors can be slightly altered by ingredients. Food colors may also fade in bright light.
PHOTOGRAPHS: We photograph our cakes and reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotional uses without compensation to you or without your permission.
INGREDIENTS: We use the finest quality ingredients in our bakery. Our products may contain milk, wheat, nuts, and other allergens. We are not responsible for any allergic reactions. If your guests have severe allergies, we suggest you choose another cake maker.
CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellation requests must be made in writing. Tiered or custom cakes cancelled more than 10 days prior to scheduled delivery or pick up will be refunded any payments made in excess of the credit card processing fee and the non-refundable $100 deposit. If cancelling within 10 days of pick up date there will be a 50% cancellation fee. No refunds will be accepted within 48 hours of the ready date.
POSTPONED ORDERS/STORE CREDIT POLICY: All postponed orders are subject to price changes due to inflation. All store credits will expire one year from the date given.
